About Beau Anthony Bauer
Staff Sergeant Beau Anthony Bauer retired from the Marine Corps in March 2009 after 6 years of service. After attending the School of Infantry in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, he received his MOS in Infantry Assault in 2003. From there, he was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment in Camp Pendleton, California, which falls under the 1st Marine Division. In March of 2005, he was deployed to Ramadi, Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. His second deployment was part of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit Special Operations Capable, a six month deployment operating out of Okinawa, Japan.

During his time, he earned several achievements, including Weapons Platoon Section Leader, Chief Scout Swimmer, Mobile Assault Platoon Section Leader, Aero-Scout Stick Leader, and NCO In Charge 5th Marines Marksmanship Training Unit. His military awards and decorations include Certificate of Appreciation, two Certificates of Commendation, Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Combat Action Ribbon.
